Job Title: Apprentice Electrician

Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated apprentice electrician who will be responsible for running pipe, pulling wire, roughing walls, and installing EMT pipes, light fixtures, switches, outlets, and other electrical elements. The candidate will ensure precise and neat installation of new wiring and fixtures to maintain steady voltage.

Responsibilities

  • Run pipe and pull wire

  • Rough walls with MC cables

  • Install EMT pipes (1-1.5 inches in diameter)

  • Install light fixtures

  • Install switches, outlets, lighting fixtures, and appliances as the project nears completion

  • Ensure precise and neat installation of new wiring and fixtures to maintain steady voltage

Essential Skills

  • Valid Apprentice Electrician's License issued by the State of Michigan

  • Must be a 2nd year apprentice electrician or above

  • Experience with running pipe, pulling wire, roughing walls with MC cables, and installing EMT pipes

  • Commercial/Industrial electrical experience

  • Ability to read and understand blueprints/schematics

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • Verified Apprentice card

Work Environment

This role involves working on a new construction project based in Taylor, MI, within a 50,000 sq. foot entertainment complex. You will be installing and building panels, running pipes, pulling wires, installing light fixtures, and roughing walls with MC cables. The project is expected to last until the end of August, with potential for permanent retention. The work schedule is Monday through Friday, 7:00 am to 3:30 pm, with possible overtime during the week and occasional Saturdays. Expect to work 40-55 hours per week.

This is a Contract position based out of Macomb, Michigan

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $24.00 - $29.00/hr.
